sometime while my chemistry teacher was yelling at me at failing his arms abt, i decided that chemistry isn't worth my time, not when it is being taught by a half wit of a teacher who was lucky enough to get such a brilliant chemistry class.
the dumb have dumb luck.
in my term report, he wrote (mildly put):
from my understanding of jocelyn's ability or chemistry, she should have gotten a 4 or five for her internal exams. i was very surprised when she got a 6 but i have decided to give her a 5b for her report grade because she has not done as well in previous tests.
jocelyn was absent and missed the entire chemistry unit. she is holding back the class as we have been unable to to take the transition metals test.
jocelyn's course work is not up to date and i fear that it will affect her final year grade in chemistry.
firstly, he can't even spell my name right.
secondly, i told him that i had revised the unit and was good to take the test. my chemistry class spent an entire lesson helping him out with his other class and the nextr couple of chemistry lessons looking everywhere for lost practicals.
thirdly, teachers usually collect practicals consistently after the practicals are done. our entire chemistry class was told suddenly last week that we had to hand in all our practicals from as far as 7 months back. how can he expect my file to be in order? no one had their his/her file in order.
i went to speak to mr gilles abt my report. he was unable to substantiate his claims and flailed his arms about to prove his point. he told me that if i argued with him one more time he would lower my grade from a 5b to a 5c.
the worst thing that probably happened that day was i ended up sobbing to the head of chemistry, having people who knew me walk pass without a second glance, having other people who didn't stand and gawk and people whom i was closest to even notice what was going on.
